Voxiplan’s Phone and AI Assistants operate with a pay-per-use telecom fee structure. This allows you to manage costs efficiently while maintaining high-quality communication services through various channels. The telecom fee is applied based on the communication tools used by your assistant, such as voice calls, SMS, SIP, and phone numbers. Below is an explanation of how these fees are structured.

Check the applicable rates for your country on our pricing page.

Telecom Fee Breakdown

Voice Calls

For outgoing and incoming voice calls, the telecom fees vary depending on the type of call and the region. The rate is different for local, toll-free, and international calls. The specific cost per minute will depend on the country of origin or destination.

  • Local calls: Charged at a standard per-minute rate.
  • Toll-free calls: May have higher or different rates compared to local calls.
  • International calls: Rates depend on the specific country and whether the call is outgoing or incoming.

SMS (Text Messages)

SMS fees are applied per message sent and received. The pricing structure for SMS also varies based on whether the message is sent using local numbers or shortcodes, or if toll-free numbers are involved.

  • Local SMS: Per-message rate for text messages sent and received within the country.
  • Toll-free SMS: May have different pricing compared to local messages.
  • Shortcodes: Typically used for mass or business messaging, with their own pricing structure.

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)

SIP calls are a popular method for handling voice communications through the internet. Telecom fees for SIP-based calls are applied based on the duration of the call and the region.

  • Mobile SIP calls: Have a per-minute charge.
  • Local SIP calls: Usually lower in cost compared to mobile SIP calls.

Phone Numbers

To set up a dedicated phone number for your business, you can choose between local and toll-free numbers. Each type of number incurs a monthly fee, with toll-free numbers generally costing more due to their additional features.

  • Local numbers: Suitable for businesses targeting specific regions.
  • Toll-free numbers: Ideal for businesses looking to offer free inbound calls for their customers, often at a higher monthly rate.

Note that in order to use our phone assistant, you need to purchase a dedicated phone number so that phone calls can be handled by your assistant.

How Telecom Fees Are Calculated

Telecom fees are calculated based on the actual communication usage of your assistant. This includes the duration of calls, the number of messages sent, and the region or type of communication channel used (e.g., SMS, voice, SIP). You can view specific telecom rates for your country by selecting the appropriate region in your Voxiplan account.

The pay-per-use telecom fee model ensures that you only pay for the communication channels and volume that are actively used, making it a cost-effective solution for businesses of any size.
